3. Purpose of Data Collection

We use your information to:

• Register domains, set up websites, and manage hosting

• Administer your account and billing

• Deliver ongoing support and service updates

• Ensure compliance with service agreements and applicable laws

4. Limited Access and Ownership

• Clients have limited access to their websites based on their selected package. Full backend or source code access is not provided.

• TechnoJoy Webworx retains full ownership of the website’s design, structure, and code. The client is only granted usage rights during the active contract period.

• Upon cancellation or non-renewal, the full website or backend access is not transferred to the client. Only the original content and assets supplied by the client may be returned, if requested within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• If the client fails to renew or communicate within two consecutive months after the contract lapses, all website data and backups will be permanently deleted.

• After deletion, TechnoJoy Webworx is under no obligation to recover or restore any data.

• Clients must ensure they request return of their supplied materials before final termination.

6. Data Security

We prioritize the safety of your data through:

• SSL encryption on all platforms

• Restricted internal access to data

• Regular data backups (while contract is active)

• Protected hosting environments with security monitoring

• Staff bound by confidentiality agreements

7. Data Breach Notification

In the case of a confirmed data breach involving your personal data:

• You will be notified within 72 hours

• Details of the breach, affected data, and mitigation steps will be provided

• Notification will also be sent to the Information Regulator of South Africa

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Request corrections or deletions

• Object to processing where applicable

• File a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
